It is ironic that Mr. Obama visits the raid team to thank them, but seems not care much of possibility to expose them.

Secretary Gates tells:

“– frankly, a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden. That all fell apart on Monday — the next day.”

Remarks by Secretary Gates During Troop Visit at Camp Lejeune, N.C. (May 12, 2011)

He said that Navy Seals who participated the raid were afraid of their own and their families’ safety, because of too much details released by the administration.

If Mr. Obama treated bin Laden the same way as Mr.Bush did with Saddam Hussein’s sons, they could have avoided to release all the operational details of one version after another, to persuade public that Osama bin Laden actually is dead: Clean up the body and show it to third parties before burial.

Why such a hurry to bury him in the sea? It must have been less than 12 hours.

If releasing all the details is effort to justify the raid and killing of Bin Laden, it seems not working. The more details they release, the more questions they get.

Speaking of justification of the killing, since when did al Qaeda become enemy combattant for Democrats?
They have been insisting to treat them as civil criminals and judge them in civil courts, giving them full constitutional rights as if they were American citizens.

Now all lawyers on the left say that the killing is totally legal as bin Laden was enemy combattant by declaring war again the US. I am amazed! He decleared war again the US in 1996. He has been fighting war against the US since then, while Democrats were screaming against Mr. Bush.

Imagine, if it were Mr. Bush who authorized to kill unarmed bin Laden.

They would be screaming “Murderer!”.
